CTIA WIreless 2011

By: Infocellular
With CTIA 2011 to start on Tuesday, our attention is once again focused on Orlando, Florida where the industry trade show has shifted to. Similar to CES and MWC, we are expecting smartphones and tablets being the most likely to steal the show. Let's take a look at the round down this year.

Samsung

Samsung has teased that a tablet will be on its way to CTIA, which is rumoured to be an 8.9-inch tablet that is the in-between for the 7-inch Galaxy Tab and the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

HTC

HTC has no press conference scheduled, but we’ll definitely hear from them via the US carriers at CTIA.
And the big smartphone rumour may be the EVO 3D, which maybe the challenger to the LG Optimus 3D. There’s also the HTC Evo View 4G table (the CDMA version of the HTC Flyer tablet). Both devices are slated to be attached to Sprint.

The long-rumoured HTC Pyramid was just snapped in the wild, and may feature a Snapdragon dual core CPU running at 1.2 GHz each, and a huge 4.3-inch display. Also, the HTC Droid Incredible 2 is being rumoured too.

It also wouldn't hurt if HTC was to tell us about more about their Facebook phones, the HTC ChaCha and Salsa.

LG

T-Mobile might be releasing Optimus 2X which we’ve seen at CES, slated to called the LG G2X. It is expected to have a 4-inch WVGA display, WiFi with portable hot-spot capability, full HD video playback and recording, a gyro sensor, DLNA support, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and HDMI out.

Nokia

To round things up, Nokia reportedly teased on their invites ‘We promised to sell millions more Symbian devices. Join us as we spotlight our latest solution for U.S. consumers'. After their big Microsoft partnership announcement at CES, we doubt we'll see a Windows Phone 7 powered Nokia phone so soon, but we'll never know.
