China Create The First Solar Powered Phone

Umeox Mobile, mobile phone manufacturers in China, recently announced that it has released a solar-powered smartphone. Umeox claim is the world's first Android powered by sunlight.

Umeox phone called Apollo and was introduced first at Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona that utilize solar energy sources developed by Intivation, Amsterdam-based company that provides solutions to the energy source alternative for mobile phones.
 

Although it has been present the latest Android Android OS 2.3 or Gingerbread, as quoted from TG Daily, Tuesday (03/01/2011), Umeox Apollo still using Android 2.2 aka Froyo.

Supported features a touch screen, 1GB flash memory, 512 MB RAM and 3-megapixel camera, Apollo Umeox expected to compete.

But indeed, these features are fairly common. The only thing that can attract customers like it rests on its uniqueness that can be charged with energy from the sun.
